Ren Bu Karate is excited to announce that as of June 1st, 2025, we have successfully merged locations with Miyazaki Karate Bayside school. We are located at 208-52 Cross Island Pkwy, Bayside NY. This move marks an exciting new chapter for our Dojo! The expanded space is larger, more dynamic, and provides a more competitive enviroment for all of our students. We offer expanded classes, enhanced training opportunities, and elite-level instruction from our dedicated and highly skilled Black Belts.
Free Trial Class! Come 15 minutes early to any class to try it out. If you have trained before, feel free to bring your uniform or wear comfortable sweats.Take a class--if you enjoy it, join us!

About Us:Ren Bu Dojo was founded in 2022, continuing the proud legacy of traditional Kenko Juku Shotokan Karate-Do. Our membership is made up of dedicated students trained under the guidance of Toyotaro Miyazaki Sensei and Masakazu Takahashi Sensei — two of the most respected figures in the art.
Our roots trace back to Master Gichin Funakoshi, the father of modern karate. His son, Gigo Funakoshi, and Soke Tomosaburo Okano, established the Kenko Juku Honbu Dojo in Hachioji, Japan, in 1943.
In the following years, Miyazaki and Takahashi Sensei brought this rich tradition to the United States, planting the seeds of Kenko Juku in New York — and from there, history was made.
Today, Ren Bu Dojo proudly carries forward this legacy of discipline, respect, and excellence.We invite you to become part of this amazing tradition and write your own chapter in the story of Kenko Juku Shotokan Karate-Do!
